2011 World Cup Schedule
2011 Cricket World Cup Schedule is released by the ICC. India takes on Bangladesh in inauguration match of the World Cup 2011. The 2011 Cricket World Cup schedule goes over for 43 days with 49 matches overall in the sleeve.

2011 Cricket World Cup At a Glance:


India will host 29 matches over eight venues
Sri Lanka will host 12 matches in three venues
Bangladesh will host 8 matches.
Pakistan will not host any matches as expected.
Pakistan will play all its matches in Sri Lanka
Final will be held in Mumbai.

ICC 2011 Cricket World Cup

Team Grouping:


14 teams will take part in 2011 World Cup.
They have been divided into two groups.
Four teams from each group will qualify for the quarter-finals.
There will be no Super 8 stage which is interesting decision made by the ICC.
Australia are the defending champions.

Group A: Australia, Pakistan, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, Canada, Kenya.
Group B: India, South Africa, England, West Indies, Bangladesh, Ireland, Netherlands.
