India Vs Australia 2nd ODI in Nagpur - Hero Honda Cup 2009 - Ind Vs Aus
Big Blow for Australia:
Australia would be pretty much disappointed ahead of the 2nd ODI in Nagpur, though they have won the first one. Yes, Aussies are suffering a huge blow, when their premier fast bowler Brett Lee and all rounder James Hopes got injured. They are out of the second match. Lee got injured his elbow while Hopes got injured his hamstring during the 1st ODI.
Good News for India:
India on the other hand have some good news that Yuvraj Singh is available for the 2nd ODI. This makes the Indian line up a very formidable one. Virat Kohli might have to give way for Yuvraj Singh.Indian Bowling attack was lack lustre with Praveen Kumar going for 77 runs. Munaf Patel is likely to replace him, though he contributed with the bat.
This match will be the First One Day International in Nagpur, since the new stadium was built on the outskirts in Jamtha. Hence we may not expect a full house today, though its going to be a cracker of a one. It's because Australians are 1 up in the series but with a depleted side whereas Indians being 1 down in the series have a stronger side to play for. India's death bowling woes will have to be rectified as Dhoni was serious about it in the press conference. Tim Neilsen is keeping his fingers crossed on Mitchel Johnson as he may not be available for the 2nd ODI. But at this stage, Mitchel Johnson is not completely out.
Pitch and Conditions:
Second ODI, being a day-night encounter will make the captains confusing at the toss, whether to bat first or bowl first. The pitch is excellent and flat. So watch out for another high scoring game. But the team bowling second in the evening will have to cope with the dew which is going to be a huge part of today's game. Overall the conditions are good for cricket.
Team News:
Doug Bollinger or Ben Hilfenhaus is expected to replace Brett Lee while Moises Henriques was called to fly back to India. Shaun Marsh might be given an opportunity to replace James Hopes. With India, it will be comebacks for Yuvraj Singh and most probably Munaf Patel.
It will be a difficult match for Australia especially because they are going in with a little weak side and Indians are eager to bounce back. Don't be surprised to see the Series tied at 1-1 at the end of the match.
