Hero Honda cup 2009: India lead the series by 2-1

Today on 31st October 2009,India was played 3rd ODI of the Hero Honda cup 2009 against Australia in Firoz Shah Kotla Stadium of Delhi.at the early of the match, Australia won the toss and choose to bat first.Firoz Shah Kotla was a 14th number of stadium ground which has the day night match.today’s match was first day night match on Firoz shah Kotla.India won the 3rd match against Australia by 6 wickets and lead the 7 match series by 2-1.Yuvraj Singh was announced Man of the Match.

Australia’s Batting:

Australia’s starting was so good and their both opener Ricky Ponting and Shane Watson played shot very easily and scored very easily.Shane Watson scored 41 runs in 59 balls with 5 fours.Ricky Ponting (Punter) scored 59 runs in 92 deliveries with 4 fours but highlights of the Australia’s batting inning was batting of Mr. Cricket or Mr. Consistent means Mike Hussey.he scored 81 runs in just 82 deliveries with 8 fours and 1 six.he made back to back 3 fifties in this series.

India’s bowling attack was so good and Australia just manage 229/5 in 50 overs.Ravindra Jadeja took 2 wickets.Harbhajan Singh, Yuvraj Singh and Suresh Raina were took 1 wicket each.Australia set the target for India was 230 runs in limited 50 overs.

India’s Batting:

India’s starting was not so good because in just 53 runs India lost their great top order(Virender Sehwag, Sachin Tendulkar and Gautam Gambhir).but then after Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Yuvraj Singh create record 4th wicket partnership against Australia in India.Yuvraj Singh scored 78 runs in just 96 balls with 8 fours and 2 sixes.
